The Millard Public Schools' 23rd elementary school involved the design of a 61,000 SF two-story facility on a 10-arce site. Gretchen Reeder Elementary holds 450 students, with the academic portion of the school being two stories (3-unit elementary school) with off-street parking for 70 vehicles. Schemmer incorporated energy saving features into the space including a geothermal heat pump, building management system, occupancy lighting controls, photocells and daylight illumination.
