Schemmer and library-design specialty firm, Meyer Scherer & Rockcastle, Ltd. provided the renovation and expansion of the Millard Branch Library. The design promotes the feeling of openness, accessibility and comfort. The incorporation and display of art was an important design requirement of this project. Schemmer participated in an art selection committee to commission an artist(s) for work to be permanently displayed. Innovative lighting, acoustics and specialty furnishings help to make the Millard Public Library an inviting and conducive space.
