Schemmer designed a new main entrance to the high school consisting of 5,250 SF and renovation of approximately 5,625 SF. The new entrance also provides a commons area for the students, which greatly enhances the circulation from the classrooms on the north to the gymnasium and auditorium on the south. The area renovated includes new administrative offices and flexible space that can be used for Board of Education meetings or large group meetings, or it can be subdivided into two spaces for smaller meeting areas. The new administrative area is located immediately inside the new entrance and commons area, providing security for the school. This area includes space for reception, principal, two assistant principals, school resource officer, work space and ADA-accessible staff restrooms. The previous administration area was renovated to accommodate the student counseling program.
