The W. Dale Clark Library renovation design encourages interaction, technology and functionality. One of the major features of the new floor plan included finishes, to update and enhance the surroundings. New millwork for the circulation desk and information desks incorporated new technology and more efficient work patterns. In addition, the inclusion of a coffee shop in the popular materials quadrant now engages patrons to a new library experience similar to some retail bookstores. The renovation included an art gallery space for both existing art and artifact collections owned by the library, as well as traveling exhibits on rotating display from around the region. The infrastructure and HVAC also received an upgrade.
