Schemmer has been privileged to provide architectural and engineering services for federal, state and municipal projects. Schemmer offers diverse experience and knowledge in specialized areas including design-build, sustainable design, LEED® certification, building/site security, and Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts.
Partnering to provide facilities and complex infrastructure for the nation's defense mission, Schemmer has been involved in more than 50 Department of Defense installations nationwide, totaling more than 300 military assignments. Schemmer has also held continuous term contracts with the U.S. Postal Service since 1988. Over the past 21 years, Schemmer has designed every size of USPS facility, from 600,000-sq.-ft. Processing and Distribution Centers to renovations of small rural post offices.
Over the past 12 years, Schemmer has designed several maintenance yard and facilities projects, as well as highway and bridge projects, for the Nebraska Department of Roads. Our professionals are knowledgeable, flexible and willing to perform all services required from project definition to construction completion.
On the municipal side, Schemmer has, for example, helped municipalities analyze the cost effectiveness of their operational procedures in the context of planning new or remodeled vehicle maintenance facilities.
