Design for an addition to the fitness center began with a three-day charrette session with facility users and administrative staff. The project included a 55,896 SF addition to the fitness center including an indoor pool, large multipurpose gymnasium, elevated running track, climbing wall, child care, gymnastics room and support facilities.

- 25-meter indoor pool with four lanes for lap swimming and an attached zero-depth leisure portion for family play. Included in the pool area is a large pool deck.
- Large multi-purpose room (100' x 200') that will allow full court basketball, three cross-court basketball, indoor soccer, hockey, a running track above, and bleacher seating for approximately 300
- Gymnastics room
- Child care area and a child play area
- Lobby with a two-story high climbing wall
- Administrative and check-in area
- Locker room space for the pool
- Large storage rooms
- Pool humidification unit using pool water as a heat sink to absorb energy normally rejected to the atmosphere
