Schemmer designed a new dental clinic for the location of the 40-year-old original, on the second floor of the Douglas County Health Center.

Removed were existing walls, ceiling, flooring, mechanical and electrical systems. The new space was designed to provide current technology and safety features in a warm, friendly atmosphere. Dental clinic operations continued during construction from a temporary location. In addition, the construction was on a floor directly above assisted-living apartments, so strategies were developed to minimize disturbance.
