This new location for care of the state's veterans, on 20 acres in southwest Bellevue (home of Offutt Air Force Base and U.S. Strategic Command), embodies concepts of village and community. Four structures accommodate households for different levels of care. These neighborhoods connect to central services core, walking paths and outdoor areas. A bell tower pays homage to the former facility in Omaha. in additon to full architectural and engineering services, Schemmer provided funding administration on this project.
