Patients are welcomed with broad expanses of glass accented by a prominent entry column. Simple floor patterns and materials guide the visitor around a circular reception counter into the main waiting area. Indirect lighting completes the desired mood created in this space. Impressive vistas of a golf course and surrounding environment were maintained. To maintain aseptic control, airflow supply and exhaust was designed to ensure movement of air from clean to less-clean areas. Lighting was designed to be conducive to examinations, operational procedures and healing. The system included an energy-efficient water source heat pump.
