Schemmer prepared a feasibility study, site selections, facility programming, master planning and design of this unique living environment. The community philosophy throughout both phases is embodied in a central "living room" surrounded by apartment units. A separate single-floor structure accommodates those who need assisted living. Sustainable design was a priority.
