Schemmer provided upgrades to the traffic signal system along Hamilton Boulevard. Services included survey and signal design, coordination of fiber optic interconnect design services, and development of new traffic signal timings to improve vehicle progression along this heavily-traveled, commercial corridor. The project included replacing existing traffic signal controllers and cabinets with state-of-the-art technology and interconnecting the signal controllers with fiber optic communications. Resulting benefits of these improvements include improved travel times throughout the project corridor and allowing City staff to monitor traffic signal status and modify traffic signal timings from an off-site, traffic management center.
