Schemmer Announces promotion
Omaha, Nebraska (August 28, 2003) – Schemmer, a full-service architecture and engineering firm has announced the promotion of Linda Weaver Beacham, P.E. to Executive Vice President, Transportation Division.
Beacham joined the firm in 1997 as a Senior Transportation Engineer in the Transportation Division. She was named Deputy Vice President of the Lincoln Office in 1998. She became a company shareholder in 2002. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from San Diego State University and is a Registered Civil Engineer in Nebraska, Kansas, and California. Beacham has over 19 years of comprehensive transportation engineering, traffic engineering and transportation planning experience.
Beacham is a Director of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Nebraska and on the YWCA Board of Directors in Lincoln. She is also a member of American Society of Civil Engineers and Lincoln Engineers Club. Beacham is a leader and charter member of the local chapter of the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) and is certified by IAP2 as a Public Participation Specialist.
Beacham will focus on overall executive leadership of the Transportation Division. Her duties will include expanding the company’s services in the transportation market, business development, client service, quality assurance, and operations.
Schemmer’ transportation clients include the Nebraska Department of Roads, the Iowa Department of Transportation, the Kansas Department of Transportation, and the Illinois Department of Transportation. Our Transportation Division clients also include numerous Nebraska municipalities.
