Schemmer ELECTS HUDDLESTON AND KATHOL TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

OMAHA, NEBR. (May 2, 2006) – Schemmer has elected Charles D. Huddleston, P.E., and Steve D. Kathol, P.E., S.E. to the company’s Board of Directors.

Charles Huddleston is a civil engineer and was named Executive Vice President of the firm’s Civil Division in 2004. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Omaha, and Graduate Studies / University of Nebraska in Engineering Hydraulics, Groundwater Hydrology, Foundation Engineering, Transportation Planning, Transportation Economic Management and Traffic Engineering. Huddleston has over 28 years experience in civil engineering.

Huddleston is Vice President of the Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation, a Past President of the American Council of Engineering Companies, Nebraska, and Past President of the Eastern Chapter of the Nebraska Society of Professional Engineers, and a graduate of the Leadership Sarpy Program. He is also a participant in both the Omaha and Council Bluffs Chambers of Commerce D.C. Ambassadors Program.

Steve Kathol holds a bachelor’s of science degree in civil engineering and a master’s of science degree in structural engineering from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Nebraska, Iowa and five other states, and a licensed Structural Engineer in Illinois. Kathol now heads the firm’s bridge design group, where he is directly responsible for all bridge engineering and management activities. In 2003, Kathol was recognized by the Nebraska Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) as the organization’s Young Engineer of the Year.

Kathol is a member of the Nebraska Society of Professional Engineers, President of the Nebraska Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and a charter member of the Structural Engineers Association of Nebraska.

Huddleston and Kathol join the reelected board members of Schemmer – Frank W. Comisar, Linda W. Beacham, Mark J. Higgins and R. William Cramer.
