By day I am a personable, hard working, creative architect who enjoys a challenge.
The most rewarding aspect of my job is when clients are excited about the architecture we have created for them. My work has not been a purpose; rather it’s a passion, but only one of my many layers which can be peeled back. I have numerous other interests in life as well. One could classify me as a bit of a foodie because I enjoy traveling to new places to embark on my next culinary adventure.
Throughout my travels, my most memorable experience would have to be the trip to France that I took with my parents at the completion of graduate school. We traveled to Ronchamp to see Le Corbusier’s masterpiece, Notre Dame du Haut. That evening, we ate at a very quaint restaurant. Ronchamp is a small place and there were only two options to eat dinner. It was late and we were nearly the only ones there. It was a five course meal, each one prepared and served by the chef. The food was exquisite – a work of art like the chapel. I will never forget the experience of the architecture and the meal – I was so moved by both. No matter where my work or travels may take me, one thing remains a constant in my life and that is to live with passion.
