Schemmer’s Randy Fehl, P.E. & Eric Deters, P.E. elected to Grenville M. Dodge Chapter of the Iowa Engineering Society
The Iowa Engineering Society (IES) has recently elected SCHEMMER‘s Randy Fehl, P.E., and Eric Deters, P.E., as President and Vice-President respectively, of the Grenville M. Dodge Chapter. IES was formed in 1889 “to enhance the practice of Professional Engineering through education, leadership development, advocacy and ethical stewardship, while raising public awareness of the critical role Professional Engineers serve in enriching our quality of life,” according to the Iowa Engineering Society‘s website.
There are 12 chapters that make up IES as a whole, including Grenville M. Dodge Chapter, which Fehl has been actively involved in for about 12 years, holding many positions as an officer during that time. Deters has been an active member for about one year.
At SCHEMMER, Fehl serves as a civil engineer and project manager, while Deters specializes in water/wastewater engineering at the firm.
