Schemmer’s Matt Sutton, PE, LEED AP, Transfers to Sioux Falls Office
Matt Sutton, PE, LEED AP, is a civil engineer specializing in civil/site design. His professional experience includes project management and civil engineering for several Federal, State, and Municipal Agencies. Matt has also worked with many private sector clients over the past 23 years.

Born and raised in De Smet, South Dakota, Sutton spent much of his time hunting, fishing, hiking, and playing various sports. Sutton pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University. After receiving his education in Brookings, South Dakota, he then went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Nebraska Omaha.
After many years spent away from home, Sutton and his wife are excited for a new adventure back in his home state, closer to extended family.
“I’m excited to be back closer to family, and Sioux Falls has experienced significant change since I last lived in South Dakota. There is a lot of momentum right now and I look forward to the opportunity to lead the growth of our civil engineering services in the region,” Sutton said.

Sutton joins the Schemmer Sioux Falls office eager to bring his expertise leading civil engineering efforts to the state of South Dakota.
