Schemmer was selected as part of a design/build team to develop the design of a new 356,000 SF manufacturing plant for Airlite Plastics Company, located on a 37-acre site near Omaha’s Eppley Airport. The 15,000 SF, three-level office area was designed to have a warehouse loft look with exposed brick, wood floors and features that display the company heritage. The remainder of the structure contains a large warehousing and distribution operation, corporate office space, engineering offices, machine shop and storage, mold and stacker storage, maintenance and electronics shop, and other support functions.
