Schemmer has served as a consulting and design agent on behalf of the City of Avoca, Iowa, developing an inventory of Avoca’s Downtown buildings and providing design solutions for each building in the two-block area. The purpose is to improve the aesthetic and actual condition of the downtown to encourage pedestrians and commerce.
