Project Details
In the first eight years of contracting with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Schemmer completed 125 work orders on reservations within the Great Plains Region. We have worked with nearly every agency within the region; our projects can be seen at nearly every school. In addition, recent projects were awarded as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA, also commonly called the stimulus bill): for schools (Little Wound, Wounded Knee, Crazy Horse) and detention centers (Cheyenne River, Turtle Mountain). Schemmer has partnered with the Oglala Sioux Tribe for Pine Ridge dormitory and school work.
