Project Details
Schemmer was selected to provide professional services for master planning, design and construction drawings for the Food, Energy, Water & Society Systems (FEWSS) Focus Program Renovation at Lincoln Northeast High School. The project included renovation of the 10,136 SF footprint of the existing library. It provides space for collaboration between Lincoln Public Schools and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as they implement the curriculum and experiential elements of the FEWSS Focus Program.
The project allows for the library to continue to provide its services to the entire school population, including computer/VR lab, circulation desk, workroom, offices and print collections. The space consists of a variety of flexible spaces defined by movable partitions and overhead doors, serving labs, forums and various opportunities for collaboration among students and staff.
