Project Details
The Guadalupan Missionaries retained Schemmer as part of their planning team to conduct a Facility Condition and Functional Assessment of the approximately 12,000 SF two-story Los Angeles facility. Professional and technical architects and engineers observed and documented information regarding the physical condition of:
- the general building enclosure
- code compliance
- structural integrity
- mechanical and electrical building systems
- site infrastructure
The Conditional Assessment assigned anticipated costs to replace, maintain and/or make repairs to keep the buildings and property serviceable in the years to come.
A Functional Assessment was conducted to assess under-utilized space that does not adequately meet the needs of the Sisters at this stage of their lives and evaluate options for the future.
Schemmer also provided full architecture and engineering services to implement design and construction in a single phase.
