Schemmer was selected by Mitchell School District to design a new 800-student high school on their existing site.
Schemmer provided a complete site survey of the parcels comprising the aggregate site, scanned existing facilities and developed these scans into 3-D models for inclusion in the design process, and programmed desired spaces via personal meetings with each school department. This reduced required square footage to match the District's "cash on hand," plus alternates to complete the project via a future bong vote and determined a total need for the school.
The new 175,000 SF high school will attach to the existing industrial art structure and the Performing Arts addition that was also designed by Schemmer.
