The CAT Dealership in Norfolk, Nebraska is located at the southeast corner of N 43rd Avenue and Highway 275. The project transforms a 15.7 acre undeveloped site into a modern facility built to support sales, service, and customer engagement. The one story, 28,000 square foot building is designed with a conventional steel frame structure, precast walls, and metal stud assemblies with durable veneer finishes and glass. A shallow foundation system supports the building and site layout.

The building is organized to create a smooth and efficient experience for customers and staff. The sales floor includes conference rooms, offices, restrooms, and support spaces that keep daily operations running well. The service area features multiple service bays designed to handle equipment maintenance needs, along with associated support areas. The site also includes customer and employee parking, along with exterior storage designed for flexibility and easy access.

Schemmer provided a full range of design services to bring this facility to life. Architectural services guided the programming, design development, and construction documents. Civil engineering shaped the site development, grading, and utility design. Structural engineering established the steel frame and foundation systems, while mechanical and electrical engineering supported HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and power distribution. Surveying services included property staking and boundary verification, and construction administration ensured the project moved forward smoothly through bidding and construction.
