Schemmer designed a renovation to Prairie Hills Covenant Church which resulted in 50 percent additional seating and a much larger stage platform with more room for musicians, liturgical practices and future productions. Wide front steps allow for staging of choirs, a passion of the new pastor. A thrust stage positions the speaker closer to the congregation. We were able to adorn the leading edge of the thrust stage with a ceramic tile representation of the flow of the Holy Spirit.
New acoustic panels add depth and color to the front sidewalls and new floor coverings unite the original with the new. Upgraded theatrical lighting, audio and video systems finished out the worship space.
Along with changes to the worship area, there was improved hospitality, coffee, and gathering square footage with improved flow and access to worship.
