Project Details
Schemmer was retained to provide preliminary and final design for the reconstruction of U.S. Highway 30, Schuyler to Rogers, to expressway standards. The project runs approximately six miles from 1.25 miles east of County Road 13 in Colfax County to 1.25 miles east of County Road 19 in Dodge County. The roadway includes two through-lanes in each direction that have 12-foot driving lanes, 10-foot outside shoulders, five-foot inside shoulders and a 40-foot depressed median. The alignment parallels the existing U.S. 30 on the north side for four miles from the beginning of the project, then shifts north around Rogers to minimize right-of-way impacts to the town. The alignment ties back in with U.S. 30 east of Rogers. A USACE alternative analysis was completed to minimize wetlands impacts.
