Schemmer provided preliminary and final design for a four-lane divided expressway on U.S. Highway 30 that created a bypass around Schuyler, Nebraska with a total length of 7.25 miles. Following development of several concepts, a diamond interchange was selected to meet the traffic needs of the area. The improvements created a four-lane, divided highway with two 12-foot lanes carrying traffic in each direction.
