Project Details
Schemmer provided complete survey, preliminary and final design, bidding phase services and complete construction engineering services for a 1.2 mile urban improvement of Washington Street from north of N-370 to near Ponderosa Drive in Papillion, Nebraska. This was a joint project between the City of Papillion and Sarpy County utilizing FHWA funds, with the City as the lead organization. The project included widening the two-lane rural roadway to a three-lane urban section with storm sewers south of Schram Road, and a four-lane divided urban section with storm sewers north of Schram Road. In addition, improvements to intersections, adding auxiliary turn lanes, medians, sidewalks and a new bike path were completed.
