15th Annual Architectural Engineering Awards and Recognition Banquet
On Thursday, March 5th, 2020, Schemmer's Kevin Wenninghoff, SE; Jeff Kulhanek, PE; Grace Stoddard; and Nathan Schmidt attended the 15th Annual Architectural Engineering Awards and Recognition Banquet. The event was held by the Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction at the Scott Conference Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Schemmer was also a table sponsor for the event.
The annual banquet celebrates the:

- leadership of
- students,
- faculty,
- alumni and
- volunteers.
The Nebraska Architectural Engineering Conference (NAEC) and the Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction hosted a social for both NAEC and banquet attendees. The social was sponsored by Nebraska Architectural Engineering Institute (AEI) and Nebraska American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
NCEES Engineering Education Grand Prize
During the dinner, it was announced that the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Charles W. Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction, Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts project won the 2019 National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Engineering Education Award Grand Prize. Wenninghoff was a mentor and volunteer for this award-winning project and Schemmer's Daniel Ewart was part of the team as well.
NCEES is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing professional licensure for engineers and surveyors. The NCEES Engineering Education Award recognizes college engineering programs for engaging their students in collaborative projects with licensed professional engineers. It was established to promote understanding of the value of licensure and to encourage partnerships between the engineering profession and education.
