Schemmer’s Scott Heaney, AIA, Project Manager; Eric Bauer, LEED AP, Business Development; Jennifer Fiedler, Project Designer and Tracy Mumford, Principal, Director of Marketing and Business Development; attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for Outlook Nebraska, Inc. (ONI).
ONI is a non-profit organization providing advocacy and opportunities for the blind. They provide innovative training and employment opportunities at their facility. ONI owns the former Crown Cork & Seal production facility at 72nd & F Street, and after Schemmer helped divide the building into three separate lease spaces and renovated the rear delivery dock areas, ONI occupied the middle bay for several years. As programs have grown, an interior and exterior renovation became necessary to keep growing for the future. The design renovated 6,800 SF of existing office space, added a 7,200 SF new office mezzanine built out into ONI’s existing warehouse and executed extensive exterior facade and paving improvements to the single story office and retail storefront.
