Schemmer‘s Kelly Hiskey, Karl Person, Tim Conway, Brooke Claxton, Ian Plummer and their guests attended MCL Construction’s 5th annual Scare Away Cancer Haunted Halloween event on Saturday, October 17th at Anthony’s Steakhouse. This year, the proceeds from Scare Away Cancer went to the Infusion Center at the Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center as well as four-year-old Kenzie McCoy who was diagnosed with leukemia last August.

The event included silent and oral auctions, a photo booth, raffles, cocktails, dinner, best costume and best photo contests as well as the band eNVy for post-program entertainment. Schemmer‘s very own Karl Person won the night’s Best Costume prize! A $10,000 check was presented to Kenzie and the McCoy family, and a generous sum was collected for the fight against cancer and the Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center renovation funds.
