Schemmer's Jason Heinze, P.E., S.E., LEED AP, Bart Pugh, CPSM, and Tracy Mumford, LEED AP, attended the groundbreaking for Soaring Wings Vineyard's stage on Monday, December 11, 2017.
After powerful storms caused extensive damage to Soaring Wings' buildings and vineyard in June, repair progress is being made, including breaking ground for a new stage.
"We have completed about 40% of the repairs to make us whole once again," said Jim Shaw, owner of Soaring Wings. "Within the next two weeks, we will finish the replacement of damaged steel on the exteriors of our buildings and break ground on a new stage."
The new stage design, by Heinze, is designed to work with the floor of the old stage and wrap around it to minimize costs. It will also improve upon the aesthetics of the old stage in several ways.
