Truck Sales and Service Facilities
It’s Schemmer’s job, as Architecture Engineering Consultants, to ensure the Truck Sales and Service Facilities that we design deliver on every level for our professional truck drivers. Whether they are servicing their truck or purchasing a new one, the design of the facility can help save them time and provide special amenities that will help them feel more comfortable when they are on the road.
Schemmer provided planning and design for the LGT Transport Corporate Headquarters and Service Center located in Omaha, Nebraska.
LGT Transport Corporate Headquarters Project
The project included a 9,570 SF office building and 5,125 SF of shop space with driver amenities such as a:
- driver’s lounge,
- laundry,
- exercise room,
- restrooms and
- showers.
“We are seeing companies investing more in their facilities to give their driver’s and office employees a first-rate facility, said Jason Heinze, PE, SE, LEED AP, Commercial/Industrial Group Leader.
“According to the Nebraska Trucker Magazine, Nebraska's Trucking companies top two industry issues are battling driver shortages and driver retention, and a way to keep driver retention up is to invest in a new facility,” said Heinze.
Schemmer also assisted Truck Center Companies with their new headquarters that included:
- 155,000 SF office
- warehouse
- body shop
- services and sales facility
- as well as a second 34,000 SF building for technical training
Truck Center Companies’ 26-acre campus provides truck drivers with:
- 60 service bays including six Express Assessment bays
- a full-service body shop
- the option to order parts to address any issue they may have with their equipment
- a media room and arcade for drivers to pass their time while waiting for their truck to be serviced
- a large selection of new and used trucks for sale
