Loras Klostermann, P.E., recently served as the Master of Ceremonies for the ASCE 31st Annual GeoOmaha Conference, held Friday 2/7 at the Scott Conference Center on the University of Nebraska at Omaha Campus. Loras has been the MC of this event for 10 years. Attendance was spectacular this year with at least 220 persons in attendance. Engineers from USACE, City of Omaha, surrounding Cities, engineering students, NDOR, IDOT, Douglas County, Pottawattamie County, Mills County, other surrounding counties, Iowa State University, University of Nebraska at Omaha/University of Nebraska-Lincoln and numerous engineers from Colorado, Illinois, South Dakota, Minnesota and Kansas. The conference consisted of seven nationally-recognized speakers presenting current geotechnical engineering topics.
