Megan Starner Receives Heart of 4-H Award
Lancaster County 4-H has given Schemmer's Megan Starner the April 2019 Heart of 4-H Volunteer Award. Megan has worked in our Lincoln office as a Transportation Technician for 21 years and lives in Bennett, Nebraska. As a parent volunteer, Megan is a member of the Volunteers in Program Service (VIPS) Committee, coordinates the annual Spring Fling Dressage Schooling Show and is superintendent of the 4-H Horse Dressage Show at the Lancaster County Super Fair.
"I like being a 4-H volunteer because I help bring in extra funds for the horse program to offer extra incentives for the kids," Megan says. "I enjoy being able to help in some small way, and seeing how that shapes these kids and their futures is pretty exciting.
