Officials for Children’s Square U.S.A., a nonprofit organization in Council Bluffs, Iowa, broke ground on their residential treatment complex on June 1, 2016. The 23,880 SF complex, located on the north end of the Children’s Square U.S.A. campus, includes three cottages and a shared multipurpose area. The residential program provides group living for children with emotional and behavioral issues. The new residences will replace outdated dormitories that were no longer up to code.

The complex is part of the organization’s $9 million “Better Spaces, Brighter Futures” fundraising campaign, which has reached 91 percent of its goal according to president and CEO of Children’s Square, Carol Wood.

“Every dollar spent makes a difference in these young people’s lives and in our society,” said Wood.
