Chi Epsilon on the Omaha campus selected Schemmer’s Geotechnical Engineering Manager Loras Klostermann, P.E., to be initiated as the Chapter Honor Member for 2015. Chi Epsilon is a Civil Engineering Honor Society whose members exemplify the characteristics of scholarship, character, practicality and sociability. Klostermann was selected this year because of his service to the Civil Engineering profession and for contributions to the undergraduate students at the University of Nebraska.
Klostermann attended the initiation, which was held on April 7th at the Thompson Alumni Center on the UNO Campus. Ten deserving Civil Engineering students from UNO were inducted. Klostermann was inducted as a student member of Chi Epsilon 35 years ago at Iowa State University in May of 1980.
