Schemmer’s Kevin Snook Presents at 2017 IDDEA Conference

Schemmer's Kevin Snook served as a conference presenter at the 2017 IDDEA Conference at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa on Thursday, October 5, 2017.

Snook presented on two topics at the conference, Drones in Engineering: Beyond Pictures...Capturing and Processing Aerial Data, and Processing IADOT Openroads SS4 Survey.

In the first presentation titled, "Drones in Engineering: Beyond Pictures...Capturing and Processing Aerial Data," Snook discussed what is required to gather aerial data using Drone Deploy, the implementation and use of Ground Control Points and finally the processing of information using Pix4D to create high resolution aerial imagery.

"Processing IADOT Openroads SS4 Survey" was the title of the second presentation and Snook covered how to import, review and edit data contained in RAW Survey data files using OpenRoads Survey. Also included was the function of the Survey Project Settings and the manipulation of points and feature lines within the Survey software.

The IDDEA Conference included sessions and workshops that highlighted both the current and future MicroStation and Civil software that Bentley offers. There were presentations from the industry, Bentley professionals and the Iowa Department of Transportation. The conference showcased IDDEA users' practices, Microstation, GEOPAK and the future of design and analysis.
