Steve Kathol, P.E., S.E.

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Nebraska (ACEC/N) elected Steve Kathol, P.E., S.E., as president for the 2013/2014 program year. Prior to his presidency, Kathol served ACEC/N as president-elect, treasurer, secretary, and state director, and also as the Omaha Common Grounds subcommittee chair.

ACEC/N provides private engineering firms with the tools and educational opportunities to be better business owners and managers. There are more than 45 consulting engineering firms in Nebraska involved in ACEC/N. According to ACEC/N, “members are engaged in a wide range of engineering and construction projects that propel the nation’s economy and enhance and safeguard America’s quality of life.”

At Schemmer, Kathol leads Schemmer’s transportation group, which includes all services related to bridge, highway, roadway and traffic engineering. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, he manages projects and conducts business development and long-range strategic planning activities.
