The Good Samaritan Society – Indianola Center Breaks Ground on New Post-acute Unit

The Good Samaritan Society – Indianola celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony on November 7, 2012 for its new post-acute care unit. Shane Larsen, AIA was present to help celebrate the ground breaking with The Good Samaritan Society staff members.

The new addition will offer 20 private rooms for short term rehabilitation. Each room features a Euro-style bathroom and it will be situated to maximize views of the property. The lower level will feature a large physical therapy room. In addition, another large therapy room "Main Street" will offer cutting edge and real-life therapy to better assist residents with their transition back to life at their private homes. Schemmer has provided full design services for the project and will continue to coordinate the construction efforts, with an expected completion date in September 2013.
