Schemmer was awarded the 2012 Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Nebraska Marketing Excellence Award for the Schemmer expert blog at the SMPS Nebraska Chapter Extravaganza at the Hot Shops Art Center in Omaha, Neb. on August 23.
“We won this award because of our experts who have participated in making this blog a success,” said Tracy Mumford, director of corporate marketing. “They are passionate about their work, and readers get a glimpse of this passion each week.”
The Schemmer expert blog went live in December 2011. Since then, it has been used for Schemmer’s technical professionals to showcase and advise the public about their area of expertise.
“It has been a great tool to demonstrate company culture and a client-oriented approach to information sharing, while helping develop the online personal brand of our professional staff,” said President and CEO Frank Comisar, AIA. “We have all of our experts to thank for their contribution to creating a successful social media platform. It is the next step along the evolutionary path of social media for Schemmer. Through our expert blog, we will continue to work to expand our interactive online community of people with related interests where we can share thoughts and ideas about what we do, how we do it and how, together, we might do it better in the future."
