Shane’s career started as a college intern and grew into owning and operating his own firm before joining Schemmer. That journey gives him a practical, well-rounded perspective and a strong understanding of both the design and business sides of the industry.

He began working in the senior living sector and has since expanded his experience across commercial, retail, residential, and consulting projects. No matter the project type, Shane focuses on what matters most: clear communication and strong relationships. He takes pride in keeping an open, honest dialogue with clients from start to finish.

Creativity has always been a part of who Shane is. He’s been sketching, doodling, and drawing cartoons since he was young, and that creative mindset still shows up in how he approaches his work today.

Outside of work, Shane enjoys golfing, even if the feeling isn’t always mutual. He also spends time speaking at regional and national conferences, sharing his experience and connecting with others in the industry.
