Rob leads Schemmer’s Material Testing and Special Inspections team, bringing more than a decade of experience in both field and laboratory testing. His work focuses on soils, concrete, masonry, and reinforced building components, supporting projects across industrial, commercial, educational, and transportation sectors.

He oversees a team that delivers comprehensive testing services, helping ensure projects meet strict quality standards from start to finish. Rob is known for his attention to detail and his ability to provide accurate, dependable results that clients and project teams can trust. He prioritizes (employee or technician) training and certification to ensure consistently high-quality service for his clients.

Rob earned both his Master of Architectural Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (I attended Univ. Nebraska at Omaha, though the degree is through Nebraska-Lincoln) and is a graduate of Schemmer’s Leadership Academy. He holds a wide range of industry certifications, including various ACI field, strength, and lab testing certifications, DOT certifications in Nebraska and Iowa, and ICC Special Inspector credentials for reinforced concrete and structural steel.

His project experience includes major efforts such as Offutt Air Force Base flightline and communications facilities, the Council Bluffs South Expressway, and a variety of public and private developments throughout the Midwest.
