Schemmer is proud to share that the Dickinson County US-71 project in Okoboji, Iowa, has been recognized with a Gold Award in the State Roads category at the 36th Annual Excellence in Concrete Pavement Awards, presented by the American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA).

This award highlights outstanding achievement in concrete pavement design and construction, recognizing projects that deliver long-term performance, durability, and quality. Schemmer served as the engineer on this project, working closely with Cedar Valley Corp., LLC, the project’s contractor, and the Iowa Department of Transportation, District 3, the project owner.

Projects like US 71 require strong collaboration from start to finish, and this recognition reflects the combined efforts of everyone involved. From thoughtful design to precise construction, the team delivered a roadway that meets high standards for safety, longevity, and performance.
