Omaha, NE – It was a cold, windy December day in Omaha, Nebraska, but something exciting was taking place at a project that’s anything but ordinary. The Levi Carter Park Activity and Sports Complex reached an important milestone with a beam signing that brought together project partners, community leaders, and team members to celebrate the progress taking shape on site.

Beam signings are a meaningful tradition in construction. They mark the moment when a major structural element is ready to be set in place and give everyone involved the opportunity to leave their mark. Team members signed the beam with messages and signatures that will become a lasting part of the building itself, symbolizing the collaboration and effort behind the project.

Building More Than a Facility

When complete, the Levi Carter Park Activity and Sports Complex will serve as a major community hub for Omaha. The approximately 114,000-square-foot facility will include:

• Ten indoor basketball courts adaptable for volleyball and other sports
• Dedicated areas for wrestling and training
• A fitness center, computer lab, and classroom space
• Community meeting rooms and telehealth areas
• Outdoor fields, trails, and gathering spaces

Designed to serve residents of all ages, the complex will support recreation, wellness, and connection for years to come.
