This project constructed a new, 10-foot wide concrete trail for bicycle and pedestrian use in Beatrice, Nebraska. The trail length totals approximately three miles in the south and east side of Beatrice. This trail has been constructed within new and existing right-of-way and City owned property. The trail extends the existing trail system in Beatrice and creates additional pedestrian access to the Water Park, YMCA, Beatrice High School and Hannibal Park, along with access to the trail system from existing residential development. The project is funded with Federal Transportation Alternatives Program funds administered through the NDOT.
