John brings more than two decades of experience to his role as Schemmer’s Information Technology Manager, where he keeps the firm’s systems running smoothly and securely. He oversees the company’s technology infrastructure, including network access, data security, backups, and overall system performance, while also making sure employees have the tools they need to do their work effectively.

He earned his degree in Telecommunications Management from DeVry University and is a graduate of Schemmer’s Leadership Academy. John is known for his practical, problem-solving approach and his ability to step in and figure things out when challenges arise.

His path into IT was not a straight line. He originally started in electrical engineering before realizing just how demanding the math could be, a realization that ultimately led him to a field where he could still build and solve problems in a different way.

That builder mindset carries over into his life outside of work. Whether it is furniture, home projects, or something completely new, John is always working on something. He will also tell you there is very little he cannot do, though experience has taught him there are a few things he probably should not do again.
