Schemmer is pleased to announce three employees have recently become shareholders and six have been invited to the Associate Incentive Program (AIP). These employees have demonstrated the characteristics necessary to participate in the program.

Jon Goldie, PE – Civil Construction Administration ManagerJon Goldie, PE – Civil Construction Administration Manager
From testing concrete in the field to managing award-winning infrastructure projects, Jon Goldie has spent more than two decades making sure roads, bridges, and utilities are built right the first time. A licensed Professional Engineer in Nebraska and Iowa, Jon is known for his proactive approach, strong partnerships, and knack for solving challenges before they become problems.

Tyler Schmidt, PE – Project Manager and Structural Engineer

Tyler Schmidt, PE – Project Manager and Structural Engineer
Tyler Schmidt has spent the past decade bringing strength and stability to projects of all shapes and sizes. As both a Project Manager and Structural Engineer, he blends technical precision with practical problem-solving to deliver designs that work as well in the real world as they do on paper.

Licensed in six states, Tyler has worked with clients ranging from private companies to public agencies, handling everything from new construction to complex renovations. His expertise in structural design, project coordination, and integrating advanced systems helps ensure every project is safe, efficient, and built to last.

Steve Thompson brings nearly 40 years of architectural experience to projects ranging from schools and universities to healthcare, offices, and government facilities. As Manager of Architecture in Schemmer’s Sioux Falls office, he’s known for his organized, collaborative approach and his ability to guide projects smoothly from the earliest concepts to the final details.

A member of the Construction Specifications Institute, Steve pairs technical expertise with clear communication, ensuring every design meets both functional needs and high-quality standards.

With more than a decade of experience in both field and laboratory testing, Rob McClenahan ensures the materials that go into a project meet the highest standards. As Manager of Material Testing and Special Inspections, he leads a team that provides reliable, accurate results for projects ranging from industrial and commercial buildings to schools, transportation facilities, and more.

Rob’s deep technical knowledge, attention to detail, and extensive industry certifications make him a trusted resource for clients and project teams.

Anthony Pospisil, PE – Mechanical Engineer

Anthony Pospisil, PE – Mechanical Engineer
Anthony Pospisil brings eight years of mechanical engineering experience, working on projects for government, education, healthcare, commercial, and industrial clients. Licensed in Nebraska, he focuses on creating efficient, reliable systems that support the long-term performance of a building.

Known for his technical skill and collaborative approach, Anthony works closely with clients and project teams to deliver mechanical solutions that meet each project’s unique needs while enhancing the overall environment.

Reese Scarborough, AIA – Architect

Reese Scarborough is a licensed architect in Oklahoma with more than a decade of experience designing projects in the commercial, industrial, recreational, and healthcare sectors. With a background that blends architecture, construction engineering, and business, he brings a well-rounded perspective to every project.

Reese works closely with clients and contractors to guide the design process from concept through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and with the quality clients expect.

Kevin Snook – Senior Transportation Designer

Kevin Snook – Senior Transportation Designer
With more than 30 years of experience in civil and transportation engineering, Kevin Snook specializes in roadway design and CADD automation for state, county, and municipal clients. His expertise ensures transportation projects meet rigorous standards while incorporating the latest tools and technology.

As a certified remote pilot, Kevin uses drone technology to capture detailed site data, helping improve design accuracy and streamline project delivery. His technical skills and dedication to quality make him a valuable resource across multiple Schemmer departments.

Megan Starner – Transportation CADD Technician and Design Technician

Megan Starner – Transportation CADD Technician and Design Technician
With 28 years of experience, Megan Starner specializes in creating precise, high-quality construction drawings for complex infrastructure projects. Her expertise with MicroStation and other industry-standard design tools ensures each plan is accurate, efficient, and aligned with client standards.

Megan’s work spans roadway, lighting, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main design for municipalities, state agencies, and transportation departments across the Midwest. Known for her collaborative approach and attention to detail, she’s a trusted contributor to successful project delivery.

Kira Strong-González, AIA, NCARB, NCIDQ – Architect and Interior Designer

Kira Strong-González, AIA, NCARB, NCIDQ – Architect and Interior Designer
Kira Strong-González brings a decade of experience to projects ranging from schools and universities to healthcare facilities, senior living communities, and commercial spaces. With expertise in both architecture and interior design, she creates spaces that balance functionality with thoughtful, engaging aesthetics.

Involved in every stage of the design process, Kira works on everything from early concepts and 3D modeling to material selection and final documentation. Her collaborative approach and attention to detail help ensure each project meets the unique needs of the people who will use it.
