98th Street Water Transmission Main

Construction Underway on a Stronger Water System for Lincoln

98th Street Water Transmission Main

The City of Lincoln is constructing a five-mile, 54-inch water transmission main along Holdrege Street and North 98th Street. This new line strengthens the community’s water system, adds capacity for growth, and improves reliability for years to come.

Schemmer provided a range of services to support the project, including:

  • Surveying and Drone Imagery for precise mapping and up-to-date visuals.

  • Right-of-Way Surveying to verify boundaries and access along the corridor.

  • Inspection to confirm construction quality.

  • Roadway Design that accounts for the future widening of 98th Street.

By combining these disciplines, the team helped identify potential issues early and kept the project positioned for smooth progress.

This project is about more than a new water main. It’s about ensuring Lincoln has the infrastructure to meet today’s needs while staying ready for tomorrow. Careful planning and thoughtful design decisions mean less disruption now and a stronger foundation for future development.
