Project Details
The Congregation of Benedictine Sisters (CBS) of Boerne is monastic women committed to community and a life of work and prayer. Their Monastery, St. Scholastica, sits serenely upon a hilltop in Boerne, Texas, a site of approximately 42 acres. Schemmer was retained to assist the Sisters with formulating a plan for the future of their community.
Schemmer provided assessment and Master Plan services to enable CBS to plan for the current and future needs of the religious community and provide for all Sisters at all stages of Life. The outcome of the assessment and planning process was to construct a replacement Monastery on the east portion of the property to be closer to the sponsored ministries and sell the western portion of the property for compatible redevelopment.
