Project Details
This project involved preliminary and final design for the rehabilitation of a three-span continuous plate girder bridge. Schemmer designed the new superstructure to utilize existing substructure. The project involved replacement of all beam bearings and surface patching at the abutments. The approach roadway begins approximately 500 feet east and ends approximately 500 feet west of the existing bridge. The roadway was replaced on existing alignment and no right-of-way was acquired. Existing utilities within the construction limits were relocated as necessary to accommodate construction. Additional services included project management, roadway design plans and quality control services. Terracon provided geotechnical investigation on special fill material placement.
